I think the double crochet stitch is my absolute favourite! The double crochet is very versatile and especially good for larger projects. Each stitch adds a good deal of height to the work, so you will quickly see progress, while getting a soft and airy textile with a beautiful drape.

1. Yarn over and insert the hook into the third stitch from the hook.
2. Yarn over and pull the yarn through the stitch. You now have three loops on your hook.
3. Yarn over and pull through the first two loops on the hook. You now have two loops on your hook.
4. Yarn over and pull through the last two loops on the hook.
