About mesh (vest)
The perfect accessory for the warmer months! The mesh structure gives a light and transparent look, making the vest ideal as an extra layer over a t-shirt or sweater. At the beach, it also works perfectly over your swimwear!
Designed with tie-strings on the sides, the vest offers unique versatility: it can be styled as tight-fitting or loose and relaxed, depending on the outfit it needs to complement.
The vest can be crocheted in any yarn you desire, but I recommend thinner quality yarn. Double-stranded mohair or 8/4 cotton are good choices, depending on how you want to style your vest.
For the blue mohair vest, approximately 75 g of Gepard Garn 'Kid Seta' (25g = 210 m) was used.
For the black vest, approximately 130 g of Cewec 'Novara' (discontinued) (50 g = 150 m) was used.
About the pattern
The vest is crocheted from the bottom up in two panels, which are then assembled. Finally, tie-strings are crocheted along the sides of the vest.
Note that the pattern does not specify a particular stitch count, as it is based on your own measurements instead. This requires you to measure a bit along the way, but in return, it gives you the freedom to use exactly the yarn you want and ensures a fit that will be exactly as you like it. The pattern also includes pictures of all steps.
